A page for every game

Each game gets its own page at your college’s web address, with the opponent, the date, gate times and the tickets you sell: general admission, a section like sideline or center court, faculty and staff, youth, and students, free or priced. Each kind of ticket can have its own limit, and one limit for the whole venue keeps the total under capacity however the tickets are split.

Promo codes take a percentage or an amount off, for groups or faculty. Fans can add a gift to the booster club as they check out, and that gift can post under its own GL code and fund, apart from ticket sales. When a game sells out, its page can take waitlist sign-ups instead.

On Campus, your first year of events is drafted for you at launch from your schedule and current listings. After that, your staff copy a finished page for the next game in seconds.

Season tickets and series passes

Put the home schedule on one season-ticket page, with a ticket for each tier, like sideline, faculty and staff, or youth. Mark a ticket “Good every day” and it becomes a pass: one QR code that gets in once on each game day, all season. The fan’s ticket shows the season’s dates.

A weekend series can be one page too, with a ticket for each game and a series pass for fans who want them all, which says “Good for all 3 games” on the ticket. A single-game ticket brought on the wrong day is caught at the gate, and gets in only if your staff choose to let it.

A second scan of a pass on the same day turns the screen red, so one pass can’t bring in a friend, and a doubleheader is one entry. A new game day starts at 4 a.m., so a night game that runs past midnight is still one day. Every day a pass was used is kept, and the guest list download shows each one.

Tickets that are hard to copy

Fans get their tickets by email as soon as they pay, one QR code for each person. A screenshot or a printout works at the gate too.

Each QR code carries a check that only TicketTuck can make, so a code typed into a QR maker won’t get in. A ticket that’s already been used, or a pass already used that day, turns the screen red: “Don’t admit — ask for ID or get a supervisor.” Refunded tickets are turned away, and so are tickets on an order with a chargeback against it.

Game day at the gate

Gatehouse, the door app, runs in any phone’s web browser over cellular data. There’s nothing to install and no device to buy, and nothing joins your campus network. Put a phone at every gate: each scan is checked against the same guest list.

If the signal drops, scanning keeps going from the phone’s own copy of the list and catches up when it returns. Anything a phone let in that should have been stopped, like a ticket already used at another gate, is flagged to your staff afterwards.

Volunteers on their own phones

A door link opens the scanner for one event, with no account. Each link works on up to five phones, and volunteers never see buyers’ email addresses or answers.

Forgot their ticket?

Find them on the guest list by name, with a reminder to check photo ID first. You can make name check-ins staff-only, so volunteers must scan.

Sales at the window

Sell for cash, give complimentary tickets, or show a QR code so a fan buys on their own phone. Staff can type in cards once we turn card sales at the door on for your college. Card readers and tap to pay aren’t available yet.

The count, live

Stats shows who’s in and who’s still coming, arrivals through the night, check-ins by each scanner, and each seller’s door takings by method for the drawer count.

Every dollar, coded to athletics

Card payments land in your college’s own bank account, never with TicketTuck. Every sale, refund and chargeback carries athletics’ GL code and fund, or each sport’s own codes if you keep them apart, so nobody in the business office splits a deposit by hand. How it works for treasury and business offices.

Refund a ticket or a whole order from the Studio, or move a fan to another date on the same page. Ticket codes stay the same, and the fan is emailed what changed. Fans get a reminder the day before each game, and if a game moves, you can email everyone coming in a few clicks.

Staff can take an order over the phone through the page’s own checkout, and schools and youth groups can pay by invoice or purchase order, with their tickets held until it’s paid.

Questions

Do fans pay a ticket fee?

No. TicketTuck never adds a ticket fee, so fans pay the price your athletics office sets. Your college pays for its plan, and card processing is paid from each sale rather than added to the fan’s total.

Can we sell season tickets?

Yes. Put the home schedule on one page and mark each season ticket “Good every day.” It’s one QR code that gets in once on each game day, and a second scan the same day is turned away, so a doubleheader is one entry. A series pass for a weekend works the same way.

Does the door app need Wi-Fi?

No. Gatehouse runs in a phone’s web browser over cellular data, so nothing joins your campus network. If the signal drops, scanning keeps going and catches up when it returns.

Can volunteers scan tickets without an account?

Yes. Send them a door link: it opens the scanner for one event on their own phone. A link works on up to five phones, and volunteers never see buyers’ contact details.

What happens if a ticket is shown twice?

The second scan turns the screen red with “Don’t admit — ask for ID or get a supervisor.” A QR code made by copying the ticket’s number doesn’t get in at all.

Can we sell tickets at the gate?

Yes: for cash, as complimentary tickets, or with a QR code that lets a fan buy on their own phone. Staff can type in cards once we turn card sales at the door on for your college. Card readers and tap to pay aren’t available yet, so if a window needs one today, keep the terminal you have for now.

Do students need tickets?

That’s up to you. Offer free student tickets, a priced student ticket, or both, each with its own limit, and say on the ticket what to bring to the gate, like a valid student ID.
